Hi! I'm Colt. I'm a developer with a serious love for teaching. I've spent the last few years teaching people to program at 2 different immersive bootcamps where I've helped hundreds of people become web developers and change their lives. My graduates work at companies like Google, Salesforce, and Square. Most recently, I led Galvanize's SF's 6 month immersive program as Lead Instructor and Curriculum Director. After graduating from my class, 94% of my students went on to receive full-time developer roles. I also worked at Udacity as a Senior Course Developer on the web development team where I got to reach thousands of students daily. I"ve since focused my time on bringing my classroom teaching experience to an online environment. In 2016 I launched my Web Developer Bootcamp course, which has since gone on to become one of the best selling and top rated courses on Udemy. I was also voted Udemy"s Best New Instructor of 2016. I've spent years figuring out the "formula" to teaching technical skills in a classroom environment, and I'm really excited to finally share my expertise with you. I can confidently say that my online courses are without a doubt the most comprehensive ones on the market. Join me on this crazy adventure!

A lot is covered in this course. Much of what is taught is repeated in different examples, making it easier to understand and remember the concepts.

Great Course for beginners. I have tried other courses and they lack proper exercises and projects. But in this course, there are a ton of exercises and massive projects like museum candy and YelpCamp and he gives enough practice for each and every topic. Even though a bit outdated, all the basic concepts are covered to get you started and many important practices like reading docs and importance of googling are discussed. Also, the large online community including Facebook and discord are really helpful. The TA's answer within a few hours. I recommend it to all who are getting started with web dev.

I am an experience programmer but with little web programing knowledge since when I took my university level studies this was beginning and had the bad luck to never land jobs were I could learn it. This course was good for me to give me the basic web programming that was lacking.

Such a good structure to the course I really like the flow of the lessons: new principles, then examples, then quizzes or code alongs. It's not too difficult either , I've just finished my 1st year apprenticeship so a lot of this is new to me. - Update, just finished the course, still great. Would be nice to see the C9 video lessons updated to Goorm but other than that excellent.

Please do not force beginners to buy an expensive proprietary text editor, when there are so many good editors out there for free. Not everyone lives in a rich country for many people in the world 80 dollars for an editor is a lot of money Or at least put a warning that you are using a proprietary editor for the lessons. Thank you.

Course is pretty good, a bit slow sometimes but its fine since its supossed to be a bootcamp. Covers a lot of topics but at the same time its a bit outdated yet a good starting point for people with low to zero knowledge about Web development. At start its like you are getting introduced to every topic but at the end feels like every last topic is just thrown away at you in a weird pace that you dont even get when you finished the actual course. Overall good quality.
